Experiment designer: Interface for plugins

Implement an interface that allows other plugins to retrieve information from the experiment design:

• find parameter (URI) for a path in the design
• find protocol (type) for a path in the design

Allow to add new protocols using the interface e.g. a GELATO annotation could add the data processing step itself rather than drawing it by hand..
