Description

For the double columns the scientific number formatting should be used (alternative x positions after dot).

What effect does this have on the sorting?

Partially addressed in SVN revision 4787. I actually don't think it is a good idea to treat all doubles as scientific notation (i don't like it myself) so this might ultimately be a user preference. However, I did modify the CustomExtraData class to contain a doubleFormat field so we can specify a format for a particular column if we like.
