Column preferences: no warning for excel export in older workspaces

Description
If an older workspace is opened and annotations/merge are exported to Excel it is possible that the column preferences are screwed up. However there is no warning resulting in miss aligned Excel tables. If the preference page is opened a dialog indicates the screw up and asked the user to readjust the preferences.

Probably needs a retest since I popup an error box if the preferences are messed up. If still messed up, then I need some test data.
